The process of getting a dental bridge typically involves several steps. Initially, the dentist examines the patient's oral health and discusses the most suitable bridge option. Next, the teeth adjacent to the gap are prepared by removing a small portion of enamel to accommodate the dental crowns. Impressions of the teeth are then taken and sent to a dental laboratory, where the custom bridge is fabricated. In the meantime, a temporary bridge is placed to protect the exposed teeth. During the final appointment, the temporary bridge is removed, and the custom bridge is checked for fit and appearance. Once satisfied, the bridge is permanently cemented or bonded into place, restoring the patient's smile.
